UPCOMING CONSULTATION – West Suffolk Council – Call for Sites

The West Suffolk Local Plan 2024-2041 will be subject to an early review, with the first public consultation (Call for Sites) due to go live soon.

Having adopted the current Local Plan in July 2025, this early scoping and participation exercise will be inviting landowners to submit sites for fresh consideration.

It is important to be having initial discussions with West Suffolk Council and preparing your submissions/land promotion reports to give sites that are suitable for future residential, employment, and other uses, the best chances of allocation in the emerging Local Plan.

Please note that with the proposed changes to national planning policy, West Suffolk Council will require sites of all sizes, including those of one hectare or less to meet their statutory requirements (per emerging NPPF policy HO6: Planning for a diverse mix of sites).
